Fungal nails
Fungal nails can manifest at any age and at any time in our lives. You can contract this unpleasant condition due to a weakened immune system, infection, chemotherapy, or even during pregnancy.
Treating fungal nails
There are 2 types of treatments:
Oral medication prescribed by the general practitioner (often taxing on the stomach and liver), or treatment by a medical pedicurist. The medical pedicurist files away as much of the fungus as possible and treats it with an antifungal product. The treatment must be continued consistently at home for a good result.
Products to treat fungal nails
Voor de thuisbehandeling zijn verschillende producten mogelijk zoals tea trea olie en manuka olie.
Op de afbeelding zien we een voorbeeld van manuka spray, 1 van de vele behandelingen van schimmel om thuis voort te zetten.
